Smart motor manufacture Turntide Technologies raised $33 million in funding from the Amazon Climate Fund and others. Turntide employs more than 100 people and are working on “the world’s first sustainable electric motor with digital DNA" and is focused on efficiency at all speeds, better intelligence, more precision control, and no rare earth minerals Their motors are being manufactured, shipped and installed across North America and Europe, and soon in the Middle East, Asia and Mexico. Back in June, Amazon announced on The Climate Pledge Fund to support development of sustainable technologies and a commitment to be net zero carbon by 2040, with $2 billion in initial funding. Other backers of the $33 million funding for Turntide include Meson Capital, BMW iVentures, JLL Spark, WIND Ventures, and other angels.
